SUMMER CALENDAR Expectations are high for this year’s Husky football team and we as a coaching staff are extremely excited to help this team reach its full potential. But for that to happen this must be an outstanding summer. Your attendance is an expectation. Your teammates are counting on you to be here! Below you will find our summer calendar with our practice and lift times. If you cannot make a workout it is expected that you notify Coach Jenkins ahead of time. Couple notes to be aware of with the schedule: 1. We will be participating in two 7 on 7 tournaments (Cam Newton/Powerade) and those will be only for a select group as our team is only allowed a very specific number of players. 2. On June 19th, 20th, 26th & 27th we are asking all 9th and 10th graders to lift in the morning (9-10:30am) as well as practice in the evening. This way we can teach proper lifting technique in a smaller group. a. In the evening those players only must attend practice for the field portion. OL/DL: 5:45 – 7:15pm; Skills: 7:00 – 8:30pm 3. Our two dead periods for the summer are the weeks of July 3rd and July 17th. Please consider using these weeks for family vacations. 4. Starting July 31st attendance is MANDATORY. 5. This Fall (starting July 31st) we will have a conditioning requirement. Every player will be required to run 16 days of 16 40 yard sprints which is ran after practice. That number will be reduced by your attendance this summer (June 13th-July 27th) a. For every day, you attend in the summer one day is removed from your conditioning requirement. (Not counting Cam Newton/Powerade) b. Attend 16 summer workouts and you have no conditioning requirements, attend 12 days in the summer you have 4 days of conditioning requirements
