Ages 7-12 13-16 June 2016
This summer’s ACADEMY SKILLS CAMP offers advanced training for players aged 7-12 years. Sessions will be fun, dynamic, fast paced, and designed for technical development. It provides existing academy and recreation soccer players an opportunity to learn advanced skills in a fun, yet challenging environment. The camp emphasizes the following: Ball Mastery: Fast footwork will help you become more comfortable with the ball at your feet in tight areas. Dribbling: Work on your ability to carry the ball past an opponent while being in control, whether by using a series of simple taps or a fantastic move. Receiving: Use different parts of your body to control the ball as you set up what you need to accomplish next, including dribbling, passing, and shooting. Passing: Learn a variety ways to distribute the ball with different parts of the foot.

ELITE PLAYER sessions are designed to meet the needs of each individual player based on age and ability. Players will develop a better appreciation of how to move, play, and think as a total soccer player. Each camper will be put through a set of challenging activities dedicated to helping them become a better overall player. GOALKEEPERS will be put through a competitive program focused on developing the complete player. Each player will be given individual attention on Footwork; handling (catching/ parrying/boxing); Distribution with the feet and hands; Shot-stopping and angle play; Dealing with crosses; Positioning, 1v1's. Players will also learn to read the game through match situations. This camp was designed for players to learn the technical skills and tactical knowledge needed to be a successful keeper.
