He celebrated his 101st birthday this year; and he had been a member of First Baptist for 78 years! Sunday, July 10th after morning worship to say "Thank You" to Preacher Jack and Vicki; and to our Pastoral Search Committee: Jim Bialek, Chairman; Brian Kalar, Adam Kittle, Mary de Courten, Beth Markley, Jackie Potts, and Joe Wolfe. Let's thank them for their dedication and faithfulness, serving God and First Baptist Church. The Pastoral Search Committee was formed on April 26, 2015 and Jack became our Interim Senior Pastor on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Our new pastor Scott Hamby will start his Pastorate on Sunday, July 17, 2016. Let's show them our heartfelt appreciation by thanking them and sharing a meal together. At Preacher Jack's request, the Fellowship Board will be serving FBC's famous chicken casserole, green beans, tossed salad, hot rolls, etc. and Cake! If you haven't already and you plan to attend, please take time to fill out the RSVP slip enclosed in the bulletin. We want to make sure we are prepared for the meal.

Annual All-Church Picnic @ Stuart Park On Sunday, July 24th we will Welcome Pastor Scott and his Family at the All-Church Picnic at Stuart Park. The Fellowship Board will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, condiments, drinks and table service. To complete the meal you are asked to bring the following: If your last name begins with the letter: A-H - bring a salad; I-P - bring a vegetable dish; and Q-Z - bring a dessert. Fellowship time and games begin at 3:00pm. Picnic meal at 4:00pm and baptismal services in the river to follow.
Baptisms: If there are those who have considered being baptized, talked to Preacher Jack, Rev. Joe Wolfe or one of our deacons for more information.
8:00am - 4:00pm -- FBC will be doing another Fundraiser at the Annual Car Show. We need volunteers to help park cars and collect fees. Please see Bob, and if you can volunteer for an hour or two, sign up on the sheet on the table by the back entrance.
