A wide, spectator friendly, 1.7 mile circuit-like course around the State San Marcos campus featuring a big ring climb. Each lap will challenge the riders with 60 feet of elevation change right into the finishing stretch. 18TH ANNUAL SAN MARCOS CRITERIUM on Sunday June 5th, 2016 This race takes place on a premier course at Cal State Univ. San Marcos in Northern San Diego. HELD UNDER USAC RACE PERMIT #2016-1462

DIRECTIONS: From San Diego take Hwy. 5, North to Hwy 78. From LA, take 5 South to Oceanside then Hwy 78. Head East on Hwy 78 and exit on Twin Oaks Rd. Turn right (south) and travel to second light and turn left. Follow the signs for parking.

COURSE: A wide 1.7 mile circuit-like course with a big ring climb. 60 ft elev. change per lap. Great spectator course. FEES: Entry fees include USAC Fees. Additional races can be entered for only $15.00. Pre-registration entries must be postmarked by May 28th. A Late fee of $5.00 will be charged for race day entries. Make checks payable to Ranchos Cycling Club. No refunds or returns. Public Riders must purchase a OneDay USAC license at race registration for $10.00. PRE-REGISTRATION: Mail entries including Standard Release form to: Ranchos Cycling Club, 15487 Bristol Ridge Terrace, San Diego CA 92127 or register on line at: https://www.usacycling.org/ register/2014-2212 (Online registration closes at 11:59pm PST Friday, June 3rd). Day of race registration opens at 6AM. Registration and Number pickup is in parking lot on Craven Dr (not at Start/Finish). RULES: Primes will be awarded in each race except Category 5. All USAC rules apply. All races have cash prizes except for Juniors, Cat 5/Public and Cat 4 Women. One-Day and Annual USAC Licenses will be available for purchase at the race. *Masters 55+/60+ race together but with separate purses. Wheel Pit will be available (wheels in/wheels out). Please label wheels. Refreshments and first aid is next to registration. Portapotties are in Race Parking Lot on Craven Dr. Avoid a traffic ticket and park in the Upper Parking Lot and obey traffic laws.
