Mark your calendars for October 15 when our 3rd graders receive their Bibles. Those receiving Bibles are: Peyton Jenniges and Ava Meier. Walk to Emmaus Save the date: November 9-12 for men and November 16-19 for women. Emmaus is a terrific part of discipleship development. It will inspire, challenge and equip participants for Christian action in their homes, churches and place of work. More information is available in the lobby. Soon it will be time to make soup for the Soup ‘N Sandwich Luncheon. In addition to food items needed to make the soup, we also need workers! Your support of this event is much appreciated! There are food and worker sign-up sheets on the table in the lobby. Thank you for the birthday cards and visits. They mean so much! I miss coming to church, but I am thankful that I can still remain comfortably at home. Thanks again! You are a wonderful church family! God bless you. Gordon Huss “The Event” is coming soon! This year’s theme for the youth event is “Named & Claimed” where we’ll be exploring our baptism, our identity in Christ, and the unique ways God has created each of us. Listed below are the details. Who: for youth 5th – 9th grade When: November 3-5 Where: Cragun’s Resort, Brainerd We need to make reservations and arrangements for chaperones and drivers so we MUST know how many youth are interested BY October 8. Contact Karin Ramey (507-227-4980) to RSVP or for more information. The 150th Anniversary Celebration happened because of all of those who gave leadership, accepted invitations to participate in a variety of ways, and, just as importantly, worshipped and shared food and stories around tables. Each person shares their gifts, talents, service, presence and witness. Your intentionality made a lasting impact. A team of people; Jeanette Cornell, Barb Dahms, Mary Drever, Eugene & Carol Garnhardt, Berneda Hawton, Marlene Ramey, Roxann Rossow, Marlys Skoblik and Betty Stancer, planned, prepared and orchestrated details for over a year to create a celebration that honored God and our 150 years of ministry. Their creativity, flexibility and attention to detail is greatly appreciated. While the church compensates our custodians and office manager, Loren Gewerth and Judy Viergutz provided exceptional support to the 150th celebration. Their extra efforts are greatly appreciated. As we move forward into the next 150 years, may the day we celebrated give us inspiration for the next 150. God’s Peace- Pastor Randy
