Super Saturday is less than a week away! This year’s event is even better than ever with the addition of the COMET Champion’s game and inviting the Mustang Spring Teams to join us at the Hayes complex. As such we are expecting a record crowd. We will have Jersey Giant subs running concession, three All‐Start events for each team, seven baseball games and multiple soccer games near the Hayes South field. Working with Eaton County Sheriff’s Department, the Athletic Director, the Director of Special Education and the Recreation Director, we have prepared a parking plan to safely accommodate all our participants and fans. Volunteers from the Eaton County Sheriff’s Department will be on‐site helping with traffic control to ensure everyone’s safety.
Our soccer families will have access to park in the main lot of Hayes, south of the main school entrance. Grandparents and those physically unable to walk long distances are invited to park in the main lot of Hayes, north of the main entrance toward the Hayes North field Bronco families are asked to park at the Willow Ridge School and use caution crossing the boulevard walking to the Hayes North field. Mustang families are asked to park at the Operations Center (Bus Barn) and walk along the rear entrance road to the Hayes South Field. Please use caution and walk nearest the school when approaching the Home Run Derby Area for Mustang division. The bus lanes (main lot for Hayes North) is reserved for our COMET Champion’s players and their families Attached is a diagram of the events and parking locations.
I certainly hope every family enjoys this day. It’s a great day for the Grand Ledge Community and Grand Ledge Youth Baseball. The Bat‐a‐thon Home Run Derby is the biggest fundraiser of the year for our program. All funds are committed to field improvement projects and allows us to keep as many kids playing baseball as possible. The All‐Star events are great fun for the players and the fans. We have some great prize giveaways for our winning teams as well as some great sponsors. I hope your player is as excited as we are for this event! Thank you!
