Students can choose either traditional applique or embroidery machine applique. Kits are available for this class. Step 1: Decide if you are doing traditional applique or machine embroidery applique. Step 2: Decide which month’s Table Topper you are creating. Step 3: Purchase fabric for the topper or get a kit Step 4: Collect the supplies below and get ready for a fun class. Sewing Supplies Needed for Traditional Applique Method: • Sewing Machine with slide on table -power cord, foot pedal, stylus, bobbins, spool caps, etc. • Feet: • 1/4” foot or Bernina Patchwork Foot #37/37D or #97/97D •Open toed Applique foot or Bernina #20 • Regular zig zag stitch plate • Kai 5” scissors (suggest the curved Kai 5” scissors for machine embroidery applique) • Construction thread for sewing • Pins • Rotary Cutter and small travel mat • Ultra Clean and Tear Stabilizer (used to get even applique stitches for traditional applique and/or for machine embroidery) • Kimberbell Cuties Book Additional Supplies needed for machine embroidery applique: • Kimberbell Cuties Companion Embroidery CD with designs downloaded onto machine or on USB stick • Embroidery module with large oval hoop • Feet: Embroidery foot or Bernina #26 • Isacord or polysheen embroidery thread-colors to do satin & applique stitches around the embroidery designs • Microtex needles, size #80/12 and 90/14 topstitch needle for embroidery • Ultra Clean and tear stabilizer to fit hoop Fabric Supplies Needed:
