n TRAINING CLINIC Saturday, 22 February Location: Brighton Baths Health Club - 251 The Esplanade, Brighton, VIC (showers available) Check in from 1:45pm at Brighton Baths Health Club Session starts at 2:00pm at Brighton Baths Health Club Taken by: Triathlon Response Group Clinic: The clinic will focus on open water swimming tips and will include an open water swimming practice. Beginners skills are required. Please bring necessary swimming equipment as swimming will be involved in the clinic. From 3:15pm at the event site in Green Point, Brighton there will be a beginner focused question and answer session with VIS ambassadors, Joel Tobin – White and Marcel Walkington. This will also be a great opportunity to gain transition familiarisation and the chance to Register for Race 4 and the Series. To register: 1. Download the TeamUp app on your Iphone, Android or Facebook via the TeamUp Website 2. Sign into the app / create an account 3. Search for the ‘TeamUp Tri Series Training Clinic #4’ 4. Go to the ‘Get in Touch’ tab and let us know that you are interested by providing us with your full name Alternatively, please let us know by emailing: triseries@ starttofinish.com.au

n WEBSITE Jump on our website www.starttofinish.com.au for all the latest updates, venues, course and transition maps and tips for beginners. n TOILETS Portable toilets are available on the event site and a permanent toilet block is located on the beach path south of Green Point and behind the club area. n FIRST AID St John First Aid will be located at the finish line and a roving bike crew will be located on course. If you require first aid assistance on the course, please notify a staff member or marshal. n ROAD CLOSURE AND PARKING Beach Road will be closed to traffic from Dendy Street, Brighton to Balcombe Road, Black Rock from 6:00am – 11:00am. Parking is available off side streets off Beach Road. Please check parking restrictions.

n CLOTHING DROP OFF A bag drop will be located at the event site for free storage of your clothing during the event. Please do not place any valuables in the bag drop area, as we can not accept the responsibility for valuables lost or stolen. n RACE KIT COLLECTION Participants can pick up their race kit at the event site on Saturday, 22 February from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and on Sunday from 5:30am - 6:10am for the Mini distance and 5:30am 6:40am for the Sprint distance. n PRE-RACE REGISTRATION All competitors can register as a late entrant on Saturday, 22 February from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, alternatively on event day from 5:30 – 6:10am for Mini, 5:30-6:40am for Sprint and 7:309:40am for Kids. This is also a great opportunity to have a look at the course, lay out of transition and where your bike will be placed on race day.

This can also be done yourself. Please use our website (www. starttofinish.com.au) for reference. 5. Proceed to the bike compound, find your race number on the bike racks to set up your bike and gear. You will find your sticker in your age group and then in alphabetical order. To reduce congestion please ensure that your helmet is securely fastened and your security band is on in preparation for your security check as you enter the transition/compound area. Those who entered after Thursday WILL NOT have an allocated bike spot and will need to rack their bike on the late entries rack. Please note that no bags in the transition area are allowed. 6. Attend the race briefing which will be held on the beach for the Mini and Sprint races. 7. We have full road closure, however be aware that cars may come onto the course and as always be aware of other cyclists on the road also.

n REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

8. All athletes should head out on the bike with a drink bidon.

SPRINT AND MINI TRIATHLON

n KIDS TRI INFORMATION Kids Tri Information will be available on a separate sheet at registration and on our website www.starttofinish.com.au

Collect your pre-packed race envelope that will contain: • A coloured security wrist-band • A black velcro timing ankle-band with a timing chip attached • A bike & helmet security sticker • A swim cap and sponsor information Please check your details that are printed on the sticker on the outside of your pack. If any of the information is incorrect, you MUST return to registration to amend your details; this will affect the accuracy of your results. Once you have your pack: 1. Attach your security band to your wrist, allowing you access into the transition. 2. Place your bike sticker on the centre of your handle bars/ head stem and your helmet sticker on the right hand side of your helmet. 3. Attach your timing band around your ANKLE. Remember to hand the timing band in after the event or you will receive a $50 charge for the lost or unreturned band. 4. Proceed to the arm numbering area where you will have your race number written on your RIGHT ARM and RIGHT THIGH and race category letter written on the back of your RIGHT CALF.

POST-EVENT n BLACK TIMING BANDS You must hand back your timing band at the finish line. Please note that Series entrants do not return their bands as they are to be kept until the end of Race 5. n REFRESHMENTS Refreshments will be available at the finish line. Each participant will receive an Emma & Tom’s bar, a cup of Dextro Isotonic Sports Drink and Dextro After Sports which is the ideal 3:1 ratio of Carbohydrates to Protein for optimal regeneration of the body. It contains B vitamins and magnesium that support energy metabolism and muscle function. Tropical Flavour - have within 60 minutes of finishing exercise. n MOCHA MONKEY Mocha Monkey will be serving coffee and food on site during the morning. n RACE RESULTS Finish times and places will be up on our website www.starttofinish.com.au by 6:00pm Sunday.

n SCHOOLS AND CLUBS AREA: All Triathlon Schools and Clubs attending have been given the opportunity to set up their marquees in our schools and clubs area to use as a base for their team. To book a marquee please download the marquee form from our website. n SPOT PRIZES Spot Prizes will be given out randomly after the event to a lucky few. You can head down to the main stage between 8:30 – 10:00am to collect your prize. AGE GROUP MEDALS are awarded to the top 3 place getters.
