Swing Coach Hi , this is your pastor with the question…”What’s your game plan in life?”. There are times in our life when we need special attention given to a specific area . In tennis, baseball and golf, athletes look to a swing coach to help them with their performance in the game . In all three of these sports, though they swing with different equipment they are taught to be all in . In other words, it is not just their arms doing the swinging. They need the rest of their body to be included in order to have a successful game plan . The Gospel of Mark tells of a rich young ruler who was willing to do whatever it took to obtain the inheritance of eternity. Jesus instructed him to be “all in”. He turned and walked away, unwilling to listen to the advice , unwilling to change . Are you struggling in some areas of your life and you think you might be ready for a change? Are you willing to listen to a new coach? Maybe you just need a few tips to get back on track . Jesus makes an excellent swing coach if only we would listen . They key element is to be all in .
B Blessed , Jim

If for some reason you cannot be present on the dates assigned to you, it is your responsibility to swap out with another person on the list. Be sure to call the church office to let them know in time to make changes in the Church Bulletin. On Communion Sunday’s four Ushers may be needed, if so it is the responsibility of those assigned to draft two others.
** Ushers are always needed. If you would like to help with our Worship Service, but don’t know where you can fit in…..We can find a place for you. Just let Gordon Dyess know you would like to help and he will be happy to find a place for you.

I Sent You a Rowboat A very religious man was once caught in rising floodwaters. He climbed onto the roof of his house and trusted God to rescue him. A neighbor came by in a canoe and said, “The waters will soon be above your house. Hop in and we’ll paddle to safety.” “No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me” A short time later the police came by in a boat. “The waters will soon be above your house. Hop in and we’ll take you to safety.” “No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me” A little time later a rescue services helicopter hovered overhead, let down a rope ladder and said. “The waters will soon be above your house. Climb the ladder and we’ll fly you to safety.” “No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me” All this time the floodwaters continued to rise, until soon they reached above the roof and the religious man drowned. When he arrived at heaven he demanded an audience with God. Ushered into God’s throne room he said, “Lord, why am I here in heaven? I prayed for you to save me, I trusted you to save me from that flood.” “Yes you did my child” replied the Lord. “And I sent you a canoe, a boat and a helicopter. But you never got in.”

What’s your worth? Is it possible to place a price on the life you have, the life you live? Each day in our lives we have to make decisions on what is valuable to us and what is not. We do everything in our power to hold onto what we consider valuable and we try to distance ourselves from the things we determine to be not valuable. Some days the decision is easier than others, but nevertheless we must decide. Years ago our Father in Heaven made a decision that we are the most valuable thing to Him. He made the hardest decision that could ever be made, a decision that saved our lives, a decision to allow his son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Your value goes far beyond anything than this world could ever place on you. You are priceless to your Father in Heaven. Please don’t forget that!!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him would not die but receive eternal life. So what’s your worth?
