Maya Kadosh—Deputy Consul General, Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest Maya has been a member of Israel's Foreign Service since 2001. Maya comes to Houston after having been the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Israeli media. Prior to that post, she served at the Israeli Embassy in Singapore in the role of Deputy Chief of Mission, helping Israel to branch out into a community with limited knowledge of Israel. Preceding her posting in Singapore, Maya served in Economic Office of Israel and as a Fellow at the UN Program on Disarmament and Arms Control. Maya graduated in 1997 from the Hebrew University with a Major in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies. She served in the Israel Defense Forces for 4 years in Intelligence and holds the rank of Captain (res). Maya Kadosh is married to Sami and is a mother to three children.
Captain Avner Even-Zohar— Professor for Israel & Hebrew Studies Professor Avner Even-Zohar is a Sabra (native Israeli born) and served for 6 years in the Israeli army as an education officer. Captain Even-Zohar was among the very few officers who were awarded twice during their service for highest excellence as an Army NCO (Non commissioned Officer) and as an officers school cadet as he graduated with the highest honors twice. As a captain he served on the chief of staff inspection team for the Army, Navy and Air Force and as a commander of an education base in the Upper Galilee. He served in the West Bank and in Lebanon. Captain Even-Zohar was awarded twice the Danziger scholarship for excellence in Hebrew studies and got both his BA and MA from the University of Texas in Austin in Government, Middle Eastern and Hebrew studies. He graduated with honors. Professor Even-Zohar was awarded by the US Air Force, Army and Marine Corps for his efforts in educating thousands of troops on the Holocaust, diversity, democracy and human rights. Captain Even-Zohar was promoted to a Professor and the youngest ever Chair of the Department of Turkish & Hebrew Studies after three weeks of employment with the US Military academy in Monterey CA in 2005. Professor Even-Zohar is an Internationally published author in What Israel Means To Me (US & Canada: Wiley, 2006), edited by Harvard University professor Alan Dershowitz.
David Wyatt— director and co-founder of Wyatt Brand David Wyatt is the business director, PR lead, and co-founder of Wyatt Brand, a boutique Austin-based firm serving a predominantly cultural client-base. He has a dozen years of experience with direction, strategy, and implementation in and for arts organizations as well as dozens of smaller and medium sized creative endeavors. With an early career nurtured in the arts (Austin Museum of Art, Austin Symphony), David launched Wyatt Brand alongside his wife and partner Rachel in 2006, and has successfully raised the profile of many entities including Israel, Texas Cultural Trust & Texas Medal of Arts, Ballet Austin, House of Torment, Texas Folklife, VSA Texas, and many others. @WyattBrand @iMadeInIsrael
