Part mystery, part travelogue and part banjo showdown, the cross country odyssey of film maker Josh Fox uncovers the controversial process of hydraulic fracturing – also known as ‘fracking.’ Is it really safe? The film unearths shocking practices that are understudied, underregulated and now threaten the entire New York region watershed.
