March 23, 2015 60th Annual Arson Conference Omni Hotel Austin, Texas Meeting called to order at 1700 hours by President Jim Terry. Invocation was given by Victoria County Fire Marshal Ron Pray. Special Guests: Past Presidents Gerald Brown, Don Jansen, Jody Henry, Steve Dossett There were 30 members in attendance. Roll call was conducted by Secretary/Treasurer Dan Mayes. Board members present were: President Jim Terry, 1st Vice-Present Laurie Christensen, 2nd Vice-President John Paul Erskine, Secretary/Treasurer Dan Mayes, Asst. Secretary/Treasurer Tammy Burch. Directors Present were Brad Westberry, Ron Pray, Rusty Kattner, Jim Miles, David Brannon, Deroy Bennett, and Christina Neely-Lopez. Directors Tim Dedear and Omar Garza were not present. A quorum of the Executive Board was present and Secretary/Treasurer Dan Mayes advised an official meeting could be conducted. President Terry called for the Reading of the Minutes from our October 2014 meeting. Copies of the minutes were presented before the meeting. A motion was made to dispense with the reading and seconded. Motion approved. President Terry called the following Committee Reports: *1.
Awards-Deroy Bennett
The awards committee successfully completed its task in October at the annual conference by awarding several deserving members with awards and citations from nominations that were submitted by members of the TFMA. Currently the committee has not received any nominations, but strongly encourage all members to get those turned in as quickly as possible.

Code and Technical-Steve Dossett
The 2015 International Fire Code is available to purchase from ICC The North Central Texas Council of Governments Fire Advisory Board has been meeting to review the new 2015 IFC and make regional amendments. This process should be completed by fall of 2015, which will be available for Cities to adopt with the regional amendments January 2016. Significant changes to the 2015 IFC are available on the ICC website to purchase There are several Legislative Bills being presented that could impact the local fire code adoption process (SB 343, HB 924, HB684, SB 327,HB 239,)

NEW BUSINESS1- There will be a NFPA Symposium at the National Fire Academy in June 2015. Officers and Directors attending will be Jim Miles, Laurie Christensen, John Paul Erskine and Rachel Moreno. 2- The association is now carrying an Insurance Policy through VFIS.
