BOM #1 – Tales of the First Ladies by Eleanor Burns
This is a FANTASTIC block that represents the First Ladies of the White House. Eleanor's latest block party comes to life in her new sampler Quilt Book, Tales of First Ladies and Their Quilt Blocks. The Book offers an alternate modular center for the eagle. Learn multiple techniques for Eleanor's favorite blocks named after admirable women as well as interesting tidbits of each of their lives. Eleanor frames the quilt with a large flying geese border. The book contains a variety of ideas and direction for finishing your quilt top, from lap size to king size. Details – The Fabric will be chosen from our large selection of Civil War Era Fabrics. This BOM program is 8 months with first block pick up being May 2012. You will complete 2 blocks each month. Each block measures 12.5” square. The Book is discounted to all BOM participants at $22.45 and regularly priced at $24.95. The book must be purchased at time of sign up. The Block each month will cost $9.55. The $9.55 includes the 2 blocks each month.
BOM #2 – Bareroots – Little Stitches – Embroidery House Blocks Each Block measures 11.5” square and can be completed in any size you choose. LOOK at just one of the 12 blocks... each block is similar with a house and the block shape but unique in the details, this is the April Month Block...
This is an ADORABLE 12 month program that represents the months of the year through little house Embroidery blocks. A GREAT quilt to display year around that can add warmth to your little house of comfort. Details – This BOM program will continue for 12 months with first block pick up being May 2012. You will complete one block a month for 12 months. Each block measures 11.5” square. Your block kit each month will contain the fabric and pattern for that month. Floss is not included... use floss from your stash or purchase DMC floss from Sew Sweet Quilt Shop. The Block and Pattern each month will cost $9.55. The $9.55 includes all the fabric and pattern for that block for that month.

This GORGEOUS quilt will be completed in 12 months. This quilt shares both applique and pieced blocks. As the designer states and so well said... Applique designs blend gracefully with pieced and alternate blocks to create an updated quilt with traditional roots. Influenced by time-honored Baltimore patterns, this quilt is brimming with fresh ideas and new techniques. Alternative methods for flowers, prairie points and binding will build your skills as you create your own lasting heirloom. Details – This BOM program will continue for 12 months with first block pick up being May 2012. You will complete one block each month for 12 months. The blocks measure differently throughout the quilt. The kit at month 12 will be your finishing kit for the borders and binding of this quilt.
