cently had to take an emergency furlough and return to the US to deal with a family crisis. One of the hardest things we have ever had to do was to leave the work at this particular time and in such an immediate fashion, yet we know that this is where God wants us for the time being. I told the Cambodian believers that, sometimes when you are riding your motorbike you are on a straight, flat road on a sunny day and can see a long way down the road. At other times it is night and you only have the weak beam of your headlight to keep you on the right path. This is one of those times for us. Yet the hope I found in the words that Jesus spoke to Peter have both encouraged and sustained us. We don’t have to see the way ahead, we only have to see the Shepherd. We greatly appreciate your prayers for us, for our family, and for the Cambodian believers as we keep our eyes on the Shepherd and follow His voice.
