The Drop Stitch Description The Drop Stitch technique uses additional wraps around your working needle while knitting to create elongates stitches. Also called the Elongated Stitch, the effect is an airy and light open fabric with very nice drape. It’s a great way to introduce beginners to lace.

K - Knit Stitch
Pattern Instructions Cast On: Any number of sts.
Row 3: Knit all sts.
Row 1: Step 1: Take your working needle and insert the tip into the first stitch on your main needle, knit wise. Step 2: Wrap you working yarn around the knitting needle three (3) times. Step 3: Pull the wrapped yarn through the stitch on your main needle as you would if knitting. Repeat Steps 1-3 to the end of the row.
Row 4: Knit all sts. Row 5: Knit all sts. Row 6: Knit all sts. Row 7: Knit all sts. Row 8: Knit all sts.
Row 2: Knit all the stitches normally, releasing the wrapped stitches as you go.
