Covering these periods: Nestorian Influence (Tang & Yuan Dynasties) The Society of Jesus (End of Ming - Middle of Qing Dynasties Semi - Colonialism Contemporary All are welcome! Ada Wong-Nagata (626) 282-5147 x 32 or [email protected] He Qi’s artwork and books will be on sale Free will offering will be collected for the artist Dr. He Qi is an Artist-in-Residence at CST (Claremont School of Theology, CA) and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Art Institute of RUC (Renmin University of China,Beijing). He was former Professor at Nanjing Theological Seminary, visiting professor of Nanjing University and Nanjing Art Institute. He was a former board member of Asian Christian Artists Association (1998-2006). Studied at Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing Art Institute and Hamburg Art Institute (Germany). He was the first among Mainland Chinese to earn a Ph.D. in Religious art after the Cultural Revolution(1992) His art works has been displayed in many places around the world, such as New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angels, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Birmingham (AL), Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Hartford(CT),Indianapolis(IN), Grand Rapids (MI), Elizabethton (TN), Richmond (VA),Tokyo, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Nanjing, London, Oxford, Gevena, Aachen,etc.
