The Final Stretch – So Faith May Flourish
Our diocese is in the final stretch of our diocesan wide “So Faith May Flourish” annual appeal. The majority of parishes are reporting in and the results are truly a blessing. For those still reflecting on their gift response, consider the following to help you join your fellow Catholics in unity of support. Think about the importance of your parish. What does your parish mean to you, your family, our community, our world. Consider the important work that your parish cannot accomplish on its own, but through the unity of all Catholics, important projects and ministries beyond the capability of individual parishes can be accomplished Reflect on God’s goodness. Remember the blessings you have received from God’s hands. Step back and see God’s work, timing and grace in your life and realize you are also part of a greater family of Catholics and the work that must be done collectively. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance. Ask what God wants to do through you to make a difference in the lives of people you don’t even know. If your gift is the result of earnest prayer, the results will be exciting and meaningful. Joyful giving is the result of all the above.
