To participate in the 2017 GAWL Leadership Academy, candidates are expected to meet all of the following program eligibility and attendance requirements. Please check () the box next to each requirement to confirm your ability to meet these terms.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
I am a member of GAWL (or, if accepted into the 2017 GAWL Leadership Academy, will become a member of GAWL prior to its first session).
I graduated law school in 2012 or earlier.
ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
If selected, I will actively participate in all sessions required by the program.
I understand that participants are required to attend four (4) training sessions with the entire 2017 GAWL Leadership Academy class: Session I:
This will be an overnight session from mid-day on Friday, January 20, 2017 through late afternoon/early evening Saturday, January 21, 2017. Location: Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation – Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA
Session II:
This will be an all-day session on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Location: State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia

Session III:
This will be an overnight session from mid-day Friday, March 24, 2017 through late afternoon/early evening Saturday, March 25, 2017. Location: Chateau Elan, Baselton, GA
Session IV:
This will be an all-day session on Thursday, April 14, 2017, including the evening Happy Leaders Happy Hour. Location: Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia
I will attend each of the above sessions in full. I understand that I have been provided the dates so that I can request the necessary time off and file all leave of absences in advance.
I have the full support of my employer for the required time off to attend the sessions above. My employer is aware of the requirement that I attend all sessions.
In addition to the sessions above, I understand that there may be some additional events, including lunches at the various houses of state government, and will do my best to attend all such additional sessions in full as well.
If selected, I agree to complete all Leadership Academy Community Service Projects as designed and agreed-upon with my Leadership Academy Class. I agree that these projects, totaling 20 – 25 hours, are to be completed no later than December 31, 2017.
If selected, I am committed to being involved in future GAWL Leadership Academy programs as an alumni representative, mentor and possible class leader liaison.
I agree to serve on a GAWL Committee during the GAWL 2017-2018 Board Year.
I agree to perform at least 5 hours of community service/pro bono work through the GAWL Foundation during the GAWL 2017-2018 Board Year.
PROGRAM FEE
If selected, my organization or I will submit a program fee of $1,050, to be paid in two installments of $525 each on November 15th and December 15th, respectively. The program fee will cover all of my meals for each of the training sessions, materials, approximately 12 hours of CLE and a double occupancy hotel room for my overnight stays during Session I and Session III (and Sessions II and IV if I reside more than 100 miles from Atlanta, Georgia).
Applicants not wishing to share a room with a fellow classmate may request a private room for an additional $400 charge. Are you requesting a single?
