THE GOLDEN BULL GAME DAY EXPERIENCE The Department of Athletics at Johnson C. Smith is gearing up to provide you with a new game day experience. The activation of the Golden Bull Game Zone will begin with the first home football game held Sept. 2, 2017. The Game Zone will feature access to areas within the stadium, tailgating, street vendors, and more. We are committed to the continued assessment and enhancement of all facets of the game day experience with respect to customer service, communication, security, and in game environment. We welcome feedback from our fans and will work to integrate those recommendations in the future to improve the overall Game Day experience. We are excited about the upcoming football season and we are eager to welcome our Golden Bull supporters and visiting fans to campus.
GAME ZONE
What is the Game Zone? 1. The Game Zone is the perimeter defined within and around the Irwin Belk Complex/ Stadium where fans can safely enjoy JCSU football games and tailgating. 2. The Game Zone is defined by two entry points: Gate/Entrance 1 – Brayboy Lower Level Lot, N. Summit Ave; Gate/Entrance 2 – Tailgate Lot, N. Summit Ave. from Oaklawn Ave. Please refer to the map for greater clarity. 3. Any Fans entering the Game Zone will be required to have a game ticket. Vehicles that enter the Game Zone will need a valid parking pass displayed always. 4. Season ticket holders are required to bring their game ticket/pass for entry into the Game Zone. 5. Tickets will be available for purchase on game day in the lobby of Brayboy Gymnasium and at Entrance 2/Tailgate Lot. All JCSU students with a valid JCSU ID are admitted free. 6. On football game day, patrons entering the main campus gate will be required to pay for parking.

CUSTOMER SERVICE JCSU Athletics, as well as the University, takes pride in providing good customer service to the alumni, faculty/staff, students, and friends. We want each Golden Bull fan to have the most fun filled experience while attending our athletic events. To assist in this endeavor, we have made advance purchase options available online for tickets so that you can avoid waiting in line on game day. Stadium gates will open two hours prior to game time to avoid long lines at back check we encourage all fans to begin arriving when gates open. To avoid traffic backups in parking try to arrive on campus early, parking will be open at least 4 hours prior to game time. On some occasions, the long waits will be unavoidable we appreciate your patience and understanding during these times. Our staff is focused on making this the best experience for you and are available to assist with any problems or concerns that may arise. First Aid If emergency medical assistance is needed, contact the nearest campus security officer or Deputy. Emergency Medical Technicians are on duty on the field and an ambulance will be on site inside the stadium if a medical emergency should arise. Lost Patrons Lost patrons and persons looking for lost patrons should proceed immediately to the nearest security agent or law enforcement officer in the stadium for assistance. Pregame/Bull Walk The teams take the field for pregame warm-ups approximately 90 minutes prior to kick-off. The JCSU Football will walk the Bull Walk to the stadium from Brayboy Gymnasium. Pregame festivities, including the JCSU Marching band, Luv-A- Bull Cheerleaders, and Dance Team begin approximately 30 minutes prior to kick-off. All fans are urged to arrive at their seats at least 30 minutes before kick-off to enjoy the pregame experience. Stadium Policy/Prohibited Items • NO RE-ENTRY • NO SMOKING OR USE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS • NO WEAPONS/FIREARMS/EXPLOSIVES • NO UMBRELLAS • NO ICE CHESTS OR COOLERS • NO OUTSIDE FOODS OR DRINKS • NO SIGNS FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES Accessibility The stadium is designed with ramps for easy access to seating areas. Signage is visible for those persons needing access to handicapped seating.
Stadium Elevator Individuals with the proper credentials may access and utilize the elevator located inside the Stadium at main entrance. Student Pick Up/Drop Off/External Events Parents/Guardians/Friends needing to pick up or drop off university students from the campus on game weekends are encouraged to do so on the Friday prior to Game Day. Otherwise, on Game Day you will be subjected to the same traffic and parking rules outlined in other sections of this document. Exceptions to this rule will be handled by the University Police Department and staff. Tobacco Policy JCSU prohibits the use of tobacco products in/outside of the stadium. Will Call WILL CALL will open three hours prior to game time and is in the lobby of Brayboy Gymnasium. A pictured I.D. is required to obtain items from WILL CALL. Handicapped Parking HANDICAPPED PARKING will be available on a first come first serve basis and located in the Brayboy Lower Level Parking Lot (Yellow Lot). To purchase this parking, the vehicle must have displayed on its rearview mirror a state (of residence) issued HANDICAPPED PARKING permit. Shuttle service to and from the stadium may be provided from other lots once Yellow Lot is full. However, all passengers utilizing the shuttle service must have a game ticket to enter the Game Zone. VIP Parking VIP Parking is in the IBC Parking Lot (Blue Lot). Only those who display a blue parking tag in their vehicles will be allowed to park in the Blue Lot. The Blue Lot can be accessed from Fifth Street to N. Summit Ave. Liability Neither JCSU University nor the Athletics Department will be liable for any property loss or damages to vehicles or contents while on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University. Media Parking Members of the media should request parking credentials through the JCSU Sport Information Office by Thursday of game week. For more information, please call 704-378-1118. Protocol for Parking- Faculty, staff, and students If you are Faculty/Staff or a student and you display a CURRENT VALID PARKING DECAL, you may park in any available parking space outside the Game Zone without charge. Faculty, staff and students should check with the University Police Department to purchase PARKING DECAL.
Security If threatening or illegal behavior is observed, patrons are encouraged to contact the nearest campus security officer or Deputy. Do not hesitate to report suspicious behavior or unruly individuals. Trash JCSU conveniently places receptacles for the disposal of trash throughout the stadium and in parking areas. Please help us keep the area enjoyable by disposing of all bagged trash into these receptacles. Recycling is encouraged. Whenever possible, please dispose of recyclables in the proper containers throughout the stadium. Vendors Soliciting or vending of any goods or services is strictly prohibited in the parking lots on game day. You must seek permission from the Department of Athletics to lease a vending space. For the health and safety of those attending our athletic events, we ask that pets not be brought into these events. Please do not leave pets and animals unattended anywhere on the campus. Service animals are certainly welcomed with their handler. Umbrellas For your safety and the safety of those attending our football games, you are asked to leave your umbrellas in your vehicle.
