It is the school’s policy that students wear the agreed uniform to and from school. Whilst some items of clothing can be open to interpretation about what is acceptable, the school reserves the right to make a final decision on what is acceptable.

If you come to school in an incorrect item of uniform, you must bring a note from your parents/ carers, giving the reason why. If this is considered acceptable, you will be given a red card which you must produce at any time if asked to do so by a member of staff.

Other Uniform Rules Trainers These may be worn during sporting activities or on the tennis courts or field during break and lunch time or curricular activities that require them. They should not be worn around school or on the way to or from school

Outside Coats/Hoodies It is important that students have a coat which is warm and weatherproof and which is of a normal style. Hoodies may be worn; if they are branded, logos must be small and discreet. The school reserves the right not to accept a coat if it would give a poor impression of the school

Jewellery Students may wear a wristwatch, a flat ring and a small crucifix or similar. One small ear stud per ear is allowed but studs or rings in other parts of the body are not permitted. It is not acceptable to have items of jewellery covered by a plaster Make-up Not allowed in Key Stage 3. In Key Stage 4 discreet make-up is allowed. Coloured nail varnish is not allowed Hair dye/style Only hair dyed a natural colour is permitted. Students will be isolated from lessons or sent home until the hair has been restored to a natural colour. The school reserves the right not to accept a hair style which may make a poor impression
