Dwight-Englewood School (D-E) “Road to Well-Being” Speaker Series presents in partnership with the D-E Parents’ Association

Bringing the science of happiness to life

Featuring Allison Holzer, M.A.T. & C.P.C.C.

Debra Park, M.A.

Wednesday, April 1 7:00 p.m. Hajjar Auditorium An invitation to all D-E parents/guardians, faculty/staff, alumni and friends: Join us for a presentation from representatives of the non-profit organization “Pursuit of Happiness (POH)”, on the topic of helping individuals develop skills and well-being habits -- to impact identity in a positive way. “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” - Aristotle What Happened to Happiness? We are so busy cultivating our intellectual skills in the pursuit of successful careers, that we have neglected the pursuit of happiness. Thanks to the recent emergence of Positive Psychology and the new “Science of Happiness” a wealth of scientific information on psychological well-being is being generated. New electronic media now provide the ideal platform to make this information widely accessible in a clear and lively manner. Join us when Ms. Holzer and Ms. Park, both representatives of the non-profit organization “Pursuit of Happiness”, provide science-based information on life skills and habits needed to enhance wellbeing, build resilience against depression and anxiety, and pursue a meaningful life. Continue the conversation with your children! In addition to their April 1 evening presentation for adults, Ms. Park and Ms. Holzer will meet with Grades 4-5, Middle, and Upper School students during their D-E visit.
