The Salvation Army Women’s Ministries held a camp on 24th January 2014 at the Kalutara Camp Centre. All women officers were welcomed warmly and with a bouquet of flower and a token of appreciation. The Territorial President of Women’s Ministries addressed about the value of the women’s ministry whilst the Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministry addressed about our performance and the monthly report and all officers shared their thoughts and experience.
Training College Principal, a married women officer herself, addressed on balancing life as an officer, mother, wife and she shared her experiences in support of the theme. All officers were given a brief time to change their uniforms to coloured attire and a special night was announced wherein 1st, 2nd , 3rd and 4th places and consolation prizes were distributed among the officers for achieving “Reach for the Stars” programme target which was implemented by the Women’s ministries last year. A special dinner was arranged to make the day a great one.
Following day Prayer Walk was organized inside the camp site. It was time of meditation and communion with God. This was followed by a Praise & Worship time. Territorial Women’s’ Leaders, Division District and Sectional leaders share their experiences and offered valuable advices and the camp came to a conclusion.
