WEEKLY UNITY RESPONSIVE
SERVICE
Sunday, December 19 “No man having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.” Let the dead past bury its dead. And Moses said to the children of Israel, go forward! Let him that is in the field not return back. Remember Lot’s wife. I will forget my sorrows as waters that have passed away. Now is the acceptable time. “Not one word more of the consumed time; Let’s take the instant by the foretop.” —Shakespeare. One thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men; He shall dwell with them and they shall be his peoples. And God himself shall be with them and be their God ; And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; And death shall be no more; Neither shall there be mourning, Nor crying, nor pain any more; The first things are passed away. “Give strength, give thoughts, give deeds, give Self, give love, give tears, and give thyself, give, give, be always giving. Who gives not is not living. The more we give, the more we live.’-’
PHILOSOPHY OF GOOD CHEER. A Harmonjr club has been formed in New York, and it has applied to the su preme court for articles of incorporation. Here are some of the objects mentioned in the petition:— To harmonize people with themselves, their surroundings and each other. To prove the efficient value of a smile and song in everyday life. To establish the perfect unity of body, mind, heart and spirit. To investigate, formulate and demon strate the scientific laws of happiness. To enunciate the principles of whole some, triumphant, sincere living. To print the discoveries of modern psychology in simple, attractive guise. To put those who want vital knowledge in touch with those who have it. R E G U L A R M E E T IN G S In U n ity A u d it o r iu m SU N D A Y

WEEKLY UNITY To maintain a brotherhood of individ uals whose sympathy is the ohly bond. To impart the secret of self-help as the highest form of altruism. To promote free discussion of every subject that makes for clear individuality of life. These are individual policies which, if carried out, will do the republic more good than the demands of all the political platforms ever writ. For it is not. on great principles concerning political duty that our social and industrial progress rests; it is in doing the decent, honest, kindly things in individual life. Everything good in this land depends, at last, upon the home and business life of the people. It would be a good thing if we could all join that Harmony club, and practice the ideas that it proclaims. Why, it would make this world more like “kingdom come” than all the libraries, schools and churches could; in fact, it would be the culmina tion of the aspirations of all these. Cut out these objects, gentle reader, and paste them in your hat close up to where the brain works. They will do a power of good.— From the Columbus (O.) State Journal. “DON’T
CRY OVER MILK.”
SPILLED
The horse fell on the slippery street and turned over the milk wagon. A crowd gathered to see the ice cream (?) A little man peaked round a fat woman as he ex claimed, “Oh, what a waste!” She snapped, “Will you please mind your own business.”

Homelike Home
If you want an up-to-date home in a good neighborhood near a car line, at a reasonable price just call upon the Unity Guild. This Society of young folks has several beautiful new houses for sale. The commission of course, goes to the New Building Fund. If you don’t need a new home you may have a friend who does. If so, kindly bring him before one of the members of Unity Guild who will give him description and prices.
