A.R. Goals A total of 31 students met their A.R. goal for this six weeks. Congratulations to these students for working hard and achieving their goals!
Track and Field Championships on April 25 and 26 at Angelo State University. The four athletes were Baily Balderas, Madison Harlow, Marie Mastroianni, and Jazmin Santiago. The girls placed 10th as a team out of 29 teams at the regional meet. Sophomore, Madison Harlow placed 3rd in the 3200m run and 3rd in the 1600m run. Harlow’s time in the 3200m was a 13:30 and a 5:55 in the 1600m. Junior, Baily Balderas placed 3rd in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.95 and with the “wildcard” draw qualified for the UIL State Track and Field Championships. Baily will compete in the state track meet on May 10th in Austin. Congratulations to all athletes who competed in Track and Field for having a great season!
Paint Rock FFA Paint Rock ISD now officially has an FFA Chapter! Congratulations to the hard working Ag students who went through the rigors of the state level examination! We would also like to congratulate all of the students who competed in CDE, Career Development Events, this year. Paint Rock FFA had teams competing in Cotton, Wool, Poultry, and Veterinarian Science. These teams competed in judging events all over the state of Texas. They also competed at the largest CDE competition in the nation at Tarleton State University where each team faced nearly 1,000 individuals in their contests. These students did a great job representing Paint Rock FFA in their first CDE competitions!
5th Grade Class
Project Graduation Project Graduation is ON!
The 5th grade class has started the Egg To Chick Project that will last for five weeks. Milissa Wright, the County Extension Agent, will be working with the 5th graders and Ms. Harlow’s classes as they observe the eggs until they hatch.
SCO Recipients The following teachers have received funding from the SCO to help supply materials for classroom projects. The amounts received range from $200-$700. The Paint Rock High School Seniors will have their drug and alcohol free Project Graduation on May 30, 2014. Nine students will graduate in the Class of 2014. Congratulations to our graduates!
6 on 6 For the next three weeks the ior varsity, and junior high playing 6 on 6. Each Monday be played in Robert Lee or will be playing two games start at 5:30 and go until chance to watch the Indians
Lil’ Cheer Camp The Paint Rock Cheerleaders will be hosting a Lil’ Cheer Camp July 16-18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The camp fee is $30 per Lil’ cheerleader. The camp is available to Pre-K through 5th grade for the 2014 -2015 school year. The camp is open to not only Paint Rock ISD students, but students from other schools as well. The girls who attend the camp will learn a dance, cheer, Paint Rock two-bits, and much more! The girls will also perform at a home game and pep rally. The girls will be given a t-shirt for attending camp! They will wear the t-shirts the last day of camp and for their pep rally performance. Payments for the camp are due May 27th.

Paint Rock will be hosting a volleyball camp for both Junior High and High School. The camp will be held on June 16-18. Junior High will be from 9-11 a.m. and High School will follow right after from 11:30-1:30 p.m. The camp is free and includes a tshirt.
