15 sts and 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) in charted patt.
INSTRUCTIONS
Notes: The body of this block is worked back and forth in rows. Stitches for the edging are picked up around all four sides of the block and worked in the round. When working the Mosaic chart (chart is shown on page 2), do not cut the yarn at color changes. Carry the unused color loosely along the side edge of the work. The Mosaic chart is worked by slipping stitches without working them. For example, on a knit row worked with B you slip A stitches as if to purl, with the yarn held in back. On a purl row worked with B you slip A stitches as if to purl, but with the yarn held in front. When slipping three consecutive stitches in a row, be sure to carry the yarn loosely behind the slipped stitches. Stitch Guide: K1fb&f: Knit into front, back, and front of same st—2 sts inc’d.
