To the Regent of Sigma Nu,
Ritual is an integral part of the growth of the Eta Nu Colony, and it is given the utmost respect and dignity. We recognize the importance of Ritual and we practice it in its entirety at the beginning and end of every Colony Business Meeting. Great emphasis is placed on the Ritual so that we may better understand our role in spreading the virtues of Love, Honor, and Truth, upon which our great organization was founded. The distinguished Alumni Chapter of Eta Nu aides us in the practice of ritual, and it was the Alumni who conducted both Candidate Initiation Ceremonies. Having the Alumni conduct this ceremony was meaningful to us because it connected us to every member of Eta Nu who came before us, and it sparked in us the desire to become Knights of Sigma Nu. I recognize that Ritual is the cornerstone of our organization, and I faithfully pledge on my honor as a future Knight of Sigma Nu that I will uphold the teachings of Ritual and practice it in its entirety at all Sigma Nu events in which Ritual is a central part.
