2017 TOURNAMENT RULES 1. The F.I.F.A. / U.S.S.F. Laws of the Game shall govern the play of all games. Exceptions: a.

A goal may only be scored within a team’s offensive half of the field. A goal cannot be scored if the ball crosses, or starts from, the center line. A goal cannot be scored on a kick-off. A goal kick is awarded to the defensive team if a goal infraction occurs. Offsides is allowed. There will be no throw-ins. The ball is placed on the line for the restart. There will be no goalies. There is no ball contact allowed within the Goal Box. Players may pass through the Goal Box as long as they do not touch the ball. If the ball comes to a rest in the goal box, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team. If a defensive player touches the ball after it has entered the Goal Box, a goal will be awarded to the offensive team. If an offensive player touches the ball after it has entered the Goal Box, a goal kick will be awarded to the defensive team If an offensive player is fouled in the offensive half; the offense is award an indirect kick from the center line. (2) 15 minute halves. 5 minute half time. Tournament Director may change duration of halves. 06 – 09 use Ball Size #4. 03 – 05 use Ball Size #5 Unlimited at any stoppage of play with referee permission Both teams shall occupy the same side of the field. Only players are allowed on the field of play. All others require referee permission. Any team not ready to play within 5 minutes of scheduled start shall forfeit the game, 3 – 0. Maximum roster size is 6 players (3 player minimum to play). Team application is required. If there is a conflict in shirt colors, the visiting team is to wear an alternate color shirt or pinny. Should a game be terminated after 15 or minutes of play, it will be counted as a full game. 1st Red Card=suspension for next game; 2nd Red Card=suspension from the tournament. All decisions of the referee are final and binding. Tournament will strictly adhere to the Zero Tolerance Policy of CjSA. May not be lodged and will not be accepted. Contact the Tournament Director for major problems. In accordance with CjSA, non-results oriented—scores will not be recorded. Participation awards will be provided. Points: Win=3 pts; Tie=1 pt; Loss=0 pts. Teams will be ranked according to total points. 1st and 2nd Place trophies will be award in each age group. Tie Breaker: In the event of a tie, final standings will be determined in the following order: 1) Head to head (when Played) 2) Goal differential (goals scored / goals allowed) up to 6 per game 3) Most shut out victories 4) Least goals allowed 5) If still tied, dual winners shall be proclaimed. Trophies will be mailed after the tournament.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages on the fields or in the parking area is prohibited. Dogs are not allowed on the playing fields. The tournament committee, Tolland Soccer Club, and CjSA will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any team or club if the tournament is cancelled in whole or in part. No refund of entry fees will be given. The tournament reserves the right to decide all matters pertaining to the tournament and its judgment shall be final. Registration will be held on Saturday morning from 6:30am – 12:00pm at Tolland High School, 1 Eagle Hill, Tolland, CT 06084.

The Tolland Soccer Club is pleased to invite your teams to the “PLAY WITH PRIDE” 3v3 SOCCER TOURNAMENT on August 26, 2017, at the Tolland High School, 1 Eagle Hill, Tolland, Connecticut. Please feel free to copy and distribute this letter and application to other clubs or teams in your area. For more information, refer to www.tollandsoccer.com. Format: The tournament committee will determine game schedule. This will be a 3v3 game on small size fields. The games will be 30 minutes each and each team plays 4 games. Three points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a loss. Girls and Boys divisions will play on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Applications received after the deadline or above the maximum number of teams will be wait-listed. Age Groups: Teams based on USSF/USYSA age groups and will be determined by birth year of the oldest player on team for the following years: 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Eligibility: The Tolland Soccer Club invites Intra Club, Recreational, and Classic/Travel teams. All teams will play in the same division. The tournament is sanctioned by the USYSA through the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). All teams must be affiliated with USYSA. Premier Teams will be required to play up an age group.
Registration: Registration can be done by mail or online beginning June 1, 2017- go to www.tollandsoccer.com. Tournament application and payment is due by August 15, 2017. Rosters can include no more than 6 players. All teams must check in at the Registration area, 45 minutes before their first game. Medical Release forms can be submitted at this time and matched to the previously submitted roster. All forms and payment must be completed by this time in order to participate. Application: The tournament application, copy of the team roster, and an entry fee of $150.00 is due August 15, 2017.
