Town & Country Fine Foods Congratulate Winners of The Academy of Chocolate Awards The much anticipated 7th Academy of Chocolate Awards ceremony recently took place at Fortnum and Masons. Judged by chocolate experts and buyers, pastry chefs, food professionals and food journalists, the awards recognise chocolatiers and pastry chefs who differentiate themselves from mass-produced chocolate confectionery. Many of the products recognized at the Awards were created using couverture from partners of Town & Country Fine Foods. Michel Cluizel was recognized in many categories including “Best Dark Chocolate Bean-to-Bar over 80%” for Noir Infini, made with couverture available from Town & Country Fine Foods. Michel Cluizel also won Silver in the “Best Flavoured Dark Chocolate Bar”, made using Kayambe 72% which is the couverture used to make faconnable cups, available exclusively from Town & Country Fine Foods. Berries Luxury Pudding Makers & Confectioners won Gold in “Best Filled Chocolate - Fruit” category, Silver in the “Spices and Herbs” category and Gold in “Best Filled Chocolate – Other”. All are made using Felchlin Maracaibo 65%. They also won Bronze in “Best Filled Chocolate – other” using Felchlin Cru Sauvage Bolivian Milk 38% and 68% Dark. Felchlin is exclusively available from Town & Country Fine Foods in the UK. Newcomers to the Awards were Winchester Cocoa Company, who exclusively use Felchlin couverture. They won Gold in “Best Filled Chocolate – Caramel” and Bronze in “Best Filled Chocolate – Other”. Congratulations also go to Fifth Dimension Chocolates, who won a bronze award for their Peanut and Raspberry in the “Best Filled Chocolates – Other” category made with Felchlin couverture. Fifth Dimension Chocolates also won silver for their Stout Caramel.
