Track A Runner Service, Historic Half App Now Available Thousands to participate in tenth anniversary of event on May 21 in Fredericksburg, VA QUANTICO, VA (May 3, 2017) – The Marine Corps Historic Half is releasing technology services to support the thousands of runners and spectators during Marine Corps Historic Half Weekend from May 19-21 in Fredericksburg, VA. An updated version of the Marine Corps Historic Half App and Track A Runner service are now available at www.marinemarathon.com. Download the redesigned Historic Half App (pictured right) through any smartphone to view course maps; event weekend schedule, including the Healthy Lifestyle Expo; parking and shuttle information and important event-day news such as weather forecast, spectator tips and event-day live results. You do not have to be in Fredericksburg on event day to Track A Runner during the Historic Half. Friends, relatives and running buddies can track a runner along the 13.1-mile half marathon course at the 5k, 10k, and 20k splits and across the Historic Half finish line. The information arrives through email or text and can instantly post to Facebook and Twitter. Track A Runner Service is also available through the Historic Half App. Runners can track themselves too, with the split times posting to their own social media feeds.
