Higher Education System - Major Issues ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

Supply-Demand gap. Low quality teaching and learning. Uneven growth and access to opportunity. Many more able and willing to pay for education, but many left behind. Low employability of graduates. Regulatory hurdles. Reforms are planned but will take long time to be executed. Reforms need to be implemented by the state governments, we expect a great variation on how these reforms unfold across the country. There is a need for international partners to take a long term view and build closer, multidimensional relationships with Indian HE institutions.
