Finished Sizes: Small – 3 ½" x 2" x 1" Medium – 5 ½" x 2" x 2 ¼" Large – 7 ½" x 4 ½" x 2"

Supplies Needed

• 1 Fabric Palette® Peralta Fat Quarter (3 matching bags) or 3 Peralta Fat Quarters (different designs) • Coordinating thread • Basic sewing supplies • Rotary cutter, mat and acrylic ruler • Sewing machine • Iron and pressing surface • ¼" Coordinating satin ribbon (19" for small, 28" for medium and 32" for large) • Optional: Pinking shears or rotary cutter (wavy blade)

B efore you begin Read all instructions before beginning project. Use a ¼" seam allowance and sew fabrics with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise noted.

Cutting Small bag:

1 - 5" x 7"

Medium bag: 1 - 7" x 9" Large bag:

1 - 9" x 14"

6 medium bags 7" x 9" each:

9 small bags 5" x 7" each:

1. Fold the bag RST so short edges meet; pin (Dia. A). 5"

2. Sew side and bottom, backstitching at the beginning and end to secure the seam. Finger crease the fold on the edge opposite from the seam (Dia. B).

3. Open the bag and line up the side and bottom seams RST; pin. Measure 1" from the point and mark a line from edge to edge. Sew on the marked line to make a ‘boxed’ corner (Dia. C).

4. On the creased edge, match the crease with the bottom seam; pin. Mark and sew as done in Step 3 to box that corner.

Finishing 5. Optional: Trim excess fabric in corners ½" from the seam. 6. Clip loose threads and turn right side out. 7. Optional: Use pinking shears or rotary cutter with wavy blade to trim the top edge of treat bag. Tie with coordinating satin ribbon to close bag.

Finished Care Instructions Machine wash in cold water, gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry low.
