LEMSKY ENDOWMENT FUND APPLICATION FORM MISSIONS/TRIPS TO ISRAEL 2013/2014 The Lemsky Endowment Fund of Memphis Jewish Federation, established through the generosity of the late Abe Lemsky z”l, further enables Federation to build bridges strengthening the bond between Memphis and Israel. The Fund welcomes applications for missions/trips to Israel that fulfill its mission of building bridges to Israel and strengthening ties between the Memphis Jewish community and Israel. Lemsky Fund awards will be given to missions/trips to Israel that result in one or more of the following outcomes:   



Program participants deepen their understanding of Israel-related issues Program participants increase their solidarity with, concern for, and connection to the people and State of Israel Program participants increase their connection to the people and State of Israel as evidenced by taking more trips to Israel, increasing their charitable giving to Israel, becoming involved in Israel education and advocacy, and increasing their attendance at Israel-related programs in Memphis and elsewhere Program participants increase their general involvement in Jewish communal life

No programs of a fundraising nature will be considered by the Lemsky Endowment Fund Committee. All programs are evaluated on an annual basis with no assurance of future funding. All funding requests for the fiscal year (July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014) must be submitted on this application form. Please attach the proposed itinerary (itineraries) of your mission/trip. The deadline for all applications is Monday, March 4, 2013. Applications must be submitted by e-mail to [email protected].
