Keynote speaker and K-L parent, Maureen Birmingham, shares the story of her daughter, Tori, who lost her life to heroin overdose last November. Local orthopedic and sports medicine doctors, Nicole Solomos and Anthony Maddalo inform about the tenuous relationship between pain management and prescription misuse. Local police officer, Harry Tompkins, relates how the opioid epidemic has touched our community and DAPC’s, Kathryn Ferrara, discusses where to go for help.
