As a club we have a financial aid & scholarship fund totaling approximately $5000. This money is used to waive registration fees and club admin fees. We have approximately 350 players involved in our competitive program with a considerable number of families needing some financial assistance. In order for us to provide scholarships to the folks that need the money the most, every request is evaluated on a player by player basis, considering a few primary factors; financial need, player level, family involvement in our organization. Our goal is to avoid any player leaving our program due to cost; however with only $5000 currently available this will be difficult.
Currently the financial aid and scholarship fund is financed directly out of the club tournament proceeds. We will be looking at other opportunities to increase this fund.
In order to continue to offer scholarships to as many players a possible, we are requiring volunteer hours from the families awarded financial assistance based on the level of assistance. This is in addition to the hours currently required to all families. • Level 1 – 2 hours of volunteer time • Level 2 – 3 hours of volunteer time • Level 3 – 4 hours of volunteer time

LEVEL 1 – Registration (spring/Fall/State Cup) fee waived/reimbursed if already paid ($205) LEVEL 2 - Monthly Admin fees waived/reimbursed if already paid - $25 per month ($300) LEVEL 3 - 50% of registration waived and monthly Admin Fees waived ($400)
If the player leaves the club within the year they were rewarded the funds, they will need to repay the amount granted.
There is a 2 year limit for financial aid for every player awarded the assistance.
NOTE – these scholarships do not apply to team fees for tournaments, equipment, or other team expenses. The amount of these fees will vary by level and team.
How to Apply: (all required documents MUST be submitted by June 1) 1. Completely fill out the player financial aid application 2. Submit a copy of your most recent federal tax return, form 1040 (will be shredded once review process is completed) 3. Copy most recent paystub (will be shredded once review process is completed) 4. Copy of the School free lunch approval letter.
Applications are due by September 15th All requests will be evaluated and the outcome will be corresponded as quickly as possible You can drop off at the TYSA office 340 E Olive Ave Turlock CA. There will be someone at the office 2nd and last Tuesday of each month from 6p-7p You can also scan all forms and email to [email protected]. All requests will be evaluated and decisions will be made by Sept 30th. Financial Aid requests are confidential and are only communicated within the TYSA comp executive board.
