Twisting Perception I am a big fan of the movie The Matrix. Yes, because everyone looks so much better & stronger in black leather. Yes, because I am a sucker for the justice of good over evil - ALWAYS. And, yes because it's just a great fantasy story with awesome effects that "kick - it" on surround sound! And, quite honestly, I find no better way to escape reality when needed.
There are so many great lines in the movie which I cannot help reference in everyday conversation any chance I get, but, one of my favorites is when Neo (Mr. Anderson aka, the good guy) is on the subway tracks. Mr. Smith (a machine and aka the bad guy) all beaten up, yet now smug & confident, says ... as the subway
can be heard coming .... "That is the sound of your inevitability, Mr. Anderson". Mr. Smith with glee and relief, is sure that in fact, Mr. Anderson / Neo will soon be dead.
Well, I came upon this picture today when searching for something to send to a dear friend to give her a smile on a day she needed it. You see, to me, strength, courage and pure determination are important. I wanted to share that energy with her.
The more I looked at it, the more it reminded me of that line. So, NO, Mr. Smith, THIS is the FACE of your inevitability.
