Although salt chlorine generators automate the daily addition of your sanitizer, they alone are not a comprehensive system for keeping your pool water clean, safe, and clear.

We wanted our customers to have a clear understanding that they do still use chlorine in their
pools. Very often we hear, “we don’t use chlorine – we use salt”. Salt chlorine generators continually manufacturer (as long as the proper level of salt is in the pool and the cell is good) sodium hypochlorite – which is commonly known as liquid chlorine. •
We wanted to develop an easy-to-use system that would give our customers a step-by-step program to take optimal care of their salt pools.

All of our Salt System products will be color-coded in purple.
Spring Start-Up or System Start-Up on Existing Pool Open your pool and perform all the usual housekeeping chores: 1.
Changing the sand or cleaning the sand (if it wasn’t cleaned in the fall)
2.
Vacuuming pool to waste if excessively dirty
3.
Making sure filter system is up and running without leaks
4.
Brushing down the sides and bottom of pool
5.
Reinstalling salt cell if it was removed for the winter
6.
If the salt cell wasn’t cleaned prior to being put away for the winter, we recommend cleaning it before reinstalling with Ultima Power Wash Cell Cleaner.

A thorough backwashing of the filter should be performed before adding the Salt System chemicals as some of the chemicals being added will require no
backwashing for 48-72 hours.
Spring Start-Up or System Start-Up on Existing Pool PowerWash cell cleaner is a highly concentrated acid that cleans cells quickly. This innovative product removes scale from the salt cell, extending its life and allowing it to operate more efficiently once cleaned.
Directions: • Add 4-5 gallons of water to a plastic bucket. • Carefully add the full bottle of cell cleaner solution to the bucket and stir to mix thoroughly using a plastic or wooden stirrer. • Add cleaner to water, NOT water to cleaner. • Turn off power to the unit and remove the cell from plumbing, following the manufacturer's instructions. Exposed metal contacts on the unit which connect the electrode to the controller should be completely covered by waterproof tape or other means to prevent the acid in the cleaner from corroding the contacts. (Do not submerge any wiring if it cannot be disconnected from the unit). While wearing gloves and goggles, immerse the electrode unit in the cleaning solution. Signs of effervescence indicate that the cleaner is dissolving scale from the metal electrodes. Leave the electrodes in the cleaning solution until effervescence stops or for 60 minutes. While wearing gloves and goggles, remove the electrode from the cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly with water. Remove any protective covering that was placed on the contacts. Reassemble the electrode into the chlorinator following manufacturer's directions and start the pump. Dispose of spent cleaning solution by pouring into pool with pump on. Wear gloves and goggles while handling the cell cleaning solution. Readjust pH, if needed.

This powerful dual action product is designed to keep your pool free of algae all season long by reducing phosphates and eliminating algae. It is compatible with all sanitizing systems and, best of all, swimmers can resume pool use 15 minutes after treatment!
Start Up Dose: Add 16 oz. of Ultima® NIX per 25,000 gallons of water directly to the pool. Operate the pump continuously for 24 hours to allow the product to be evenly distributed and to allow the filter to recover any phosphate removed from the water.
Advantage: One easy application, no separate algaecide or phosphate remover needed. Eliminates phosphates from organic sources. Quick, easy, cost-effective and simple to use. No mixing. Swim immediately after treatment. Does not affect water balance. Safe for all pool surfaces.
Spring Start-Up or System Start-Up on Existing Pool Ultima® T.K.O is a fast-acting, quick dissolving, multi-purpose granular product that sanitizes, clarifies, prevents algae and shock treats your pool. Its highly effective formula is convenient, easy to use and won’t over stabilize your pool water. Ultima® T.K.O. can be used with all pool surfaces and leaves no residue. How to use: Add the recommended dosage of this product during evening hours while the filter is running. When adding this product to your pool, broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool. If any granules settle to the bottom of the pool use brush to disperse. Start Up Dose: Add 1lb per 10,000 gallons when the sun is off the pool. If any granules settle to the bottom of the pool use a pool brush to disperse. Allow filter to run 8-12 hours

This unique product stops metal staining, clears cloudy water, increases efficiency and reduces phosphates to prolong the life of the cell.
Start-up Dosage: Add 16 ounces of product per 10,000 gallons of pool water directly to the skimmer while pump is running.
How to Use: • Cell Extend should always be added when a pool is initially filled, because fresh water usually contains stain and scale producing minerals such as iron, copper, manganese and calcium. • For best results, add the required amount of Cell Extend at the time you start to fill the pool, not after the pool is filled. • If water has high iron, copper or manganese content (over 0.1 parts per million (ppm)) double the initial dose. • After Cell Extend has been added and the pool is filled, filter and circulate the water at least overnight before adding chlorine or other pool chemicals to allow this product to disperse and work effectively.

Weekly Maintenance: Ideally add 2 lbs. per 20,000 gallons of Monthly Salt Maintenance directly to the skimmer with the pump running. Although containing the word “monthly” in the title, this product is optimized when added weekly. The salt cells should be checked monthly for deposits/build-up as a preventative measure. Most people are far too busy in their daily lives to remember to do this. Through weekly use, this product prevents these deposits/build-up on the salt cell throughout the month - making life easier for you and ultimately making your system work more effectively and efficiently. The Salt Maintenance product may be used monthly if one desires, but when used weekly the pool maintains a sparkle from the clarifier and the oxidizer breaks down any organics that might have entered the pool throughout the week. DO NOT BACKWASH OR CLEAN FILTER FOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS AFTER ADDING. The pressure will come down on its own as product is dissolved in water.

Monthly Maintenance: Shock Treatment/Super-Chlorination: Every 30days, or as necessary to prevent pool problems, shock treat/super chlorinate the pool by adding 2lbs per 20,000 gallons of water to provide 5 to 10 ppm available chlorine. Additional shock treatments may be required to correct problems which are caused by visible algae, high bathing loads, heavy wind and rainstorms. Additional shock treatments may also be required to correct problems such as unpleasant odors and eye irritation. Check the available chlorine with a suitable test kit.
Algae Control: Follow "SHOCK TREATMENT" directions on this label. Add this product as close as possible to any algae on the sides or bottom of the pool. If necessary, repeat the treatment. To prevent possible staining or bleaching, take the following steps immediately after treatment: Thoroughly clean pool by brushing surface of algae growth, vacuum and cycle through filter. For preventative algae control, use your preferred algaecide product regularly. Follow label directions on the algaecide.

To prevent possible staining or bleaching, take the following steps immediately after treatment: Thoroughly clean pool by brushing surface of algae growth, vacuum and cycle through filter. For preventative algae control, use your preferred algaecide product regularly. Follow label directions on the algaecide.
Tips: Additional shocking to keep water clean and clear is recommended after rain and heavy winds, heavy bather loads; increased water temperature and/or increased frequency of pool usage.
Closing PowerWash cell cleaner is a highly concentrated acid that cleans cells quickly. This innovative product removes scale from the salt cell, extending its life and allowing it to operate more efficiently once cleaned. Directions: Add 4-5 gallons of water to a plastic bucket. Carefully add the full bottle of cell cleaner solution to the bucket and stir to mix thoroughly using a plastic or wooden stirrer. Add cleaner to water, NOT water to cleaner. Turn off power to the unit and remove the cell from plumbing, following the manufacturer's instructions. Exposed metal contacts on the unit which connect the electrode to the controller should be completely covered by waterproof tape or other means to prevent the acid in the cleaner from corroding the contacts. (Do not submerge any wiring if it cannot be disconnected from the unit). Advantage: While wearing gloves and goggles, immerse the electrode unit in the cleaning solution. Signs of Extends cell life effervescence indicate that the cleaner is dissolving scale from the metal electrodes. Leave the electrodes in the cleaning solution until effervescence stops or for 60 minutes. Clean cells quickly While wearing gloves and goggles, remove the electrode from the cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly with water. Remove any protective covering that was placed on the contacts. Reassemble the electrode into the chlorinator following manufacturer's directions and start the pump chlorinator. Dispose of spent cleaning solution by pouring into pool with pump on. Wear gloves and goggles while handling the cell cleaning solution. Readjust pH, if needed.
