UMCOR Flood Bucket Supplies Memorial is collecting supplies to make Flood Buckets for UMCOR to deliver to the people affected by the flooding in Texas. If you would like to donate money to help buy supplies for these buckets, please put “UMCOR Flood Buckets” on the memo section of your checks. The estimated cost to make one bucket is around $65. Buckets do not need to be pre-assembled. Donations of items can be brought to the Partin Center. Items requested are very specific and only the items requested may be included in each bucket.

Items needed for each bucket include: •

5-gallon bucket with re-sealable lid o

Liquid laundry detergent o



o

Dish soap o



Aerosol or pump.

1 insect repellent spray o



16-28 oz. bottle any brand.

1 can air freshener o



12-16 oz. liquid cleaner that can be mixed with water; No spray cleaners.

Plastic or wooden handle.

Handi Wipes or reusable wipes; No terry cleaning towels;

7 sponges o

No cellulose sponges due to mold issues.

5 scouring pads o

No stainless steel, Brillo pads, or SOS pads (nothing with soap built in).



50 clothespins



Clothesline o o



One 100-ft. or two 50-ft. lines; Cotton or plastic.

24-roll heavy-duty trash bags o

33- to 45-gallon sizes.



5 dust masks



2 pairs kitchen dish washing gloves

6-14 oz. aerosol or spray pump with protective cover.

1 scrub brush

18 cleaning wipes o o

One 50-oz. or two 25-oz. bottle(s) only.

Liquid household cleaner o



Buckets from fast-food restaurants or bakeries can be used if washed and cleaned; Do not use buckets that have stored chemicals such as paint or pool cleaner;

Should be durable enough for multiple uses;

1 pair work gloves o

Cotton with leather palm or all leather.
