This is the most basic component of the server/waiter uniform. This is a simple white shirt with buttons from neck to hem of shirt. It must have a collar. Please no stains or excessive wrinkles.

Essentially, black slacks are long black pants that typically are less fitting to the leg. Jean material, and leggings are not acceptable for black slacks. Please no stains or excessive wrinkles.

As a server, it is imperative to have shoes that have RUBBER SOLES. They must be black. Tennis shoes, open toe shoes, heels, flip flops, and boots are NOT acceptable.

A long, black neck tie may be required, depending on the event. It should be solid black. No patterns, graphics or mixed colors should be worn. The ties should be appropriate length.

The bow tie is a tie that resembles a bow. It may be easier to purchase the bow tie already tied. This must be solid black. No exceptions.

*The Tuxedo Shirt There are several variations of tuxedo shirts based on the collar, cuffs, and style. The basic tuxedo shirt consists of small vertical ridges and a classic collar. If ever an event requires this type of shirt, you will be notified in advance of the style.

The vest resembles a jacket, but is sleeveless, with triangular cuts in the chest area, and at the hem of the bottom of the garment. Must be solid black. No patterns, or graphics.

Traditionally tuxedos have satin facing on the lapels, buttons, pocket trim, and a satin side stripe down the leg of the trousers. Tuxedos are historically only to be worn with bow ties and cummerbunds or waistcoats (low stance vests.)
