VI. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Symptom

Probable cause

No hot water Electricity not on or one of the supplies has failed Plumbing crossover

MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY Remedy Check electricity supply.

Test by turning cold water supply off to the hot water generator, then open hot water at one of the outlet. No water should flow, if water is flowing then you might have plumbing crossover that needs to be corrected for the unit to operate properly.

Water flow rate is less Increase water flow rate. than required minimum 0.5 GPM The flow sensor is not Turn off the power, open working the unit and verify the flow sensor not obstructed by debris. Note: During normal operation when water is turned on, the 4 digits LED on the circuit board inside the hot water generator should display the flow rate. Water is too cold

Water flow is too high Adjust the water flow. One of the power supplies is not on

Check the supply voltages to the hot water generator and rectify if necessary

Temperature setting is too low

Verify the temperature setting.

The inlet water Reduce the flow rate. temperature has dropped considerably Water flow too low

Water temperature fluctuate

There might be restrictions in the plumbing

Check the plumbing. Inspect and clean inlet filter screen to the hot water generator.

Water supply pressure too low

Check that all inlet shut-off valves are fully open.

Fluctuating water Avoid several hot water pressure or changing outlets being used at the same time as this causes flow rate the temperature to fluctuate.

10 Year Limited Heat Exchanger/3 Year Electric Parts PRODUCT WARRANTY: SUPERGREEN only warrants to the original purchaser at the original installation address of purchaser (collectively, the “Buyer”) the SUPERGREEN hot water generator and its components as manufactured by SUPERGREEN (the "Product") to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and service for the period of time identified below beginning from the date of installation. How to calibrate your hot water using gate valve 1. Make sure all electrical wires and water pipes are properly install. Check the power requirement for each model. Before start up, check that all connections are secure and fittings are tight. 2. Make sure use 3/4" pipe instead 1/2" to gain maximum water flow coming inlet and coming outlet also make sure that the heating mode button is in the “OFF” position. 3. Turn off all of your faucets. Open the shutoff valve at the incoming water point of the unit and verify no leaks. Then open one faucet and allow water to run for 1 minute or until all air is purged from the system. 4. With the water running, use the lower heating mode button to turn on the unit and turn to maximum mode. The water begins to heat and the current temperature is shown in the display. Dial Gate valve to calibrate your hot water vs the flow rate. Ideally, you will gain more flow rate by loosing heat as hot water moves from the water heater through quartz elements faster. 5. Calibrate using Gate Valve (water valve) at outlet and choose a desirable temperature by pressing the mode buttons and gate valve until you have a comfortable water temperature and flow rate. 6. Turn off water and unit is set. Remember: Water temperature depends on water flow, the more water flow, the lower the temperature and vise versa.
