U.S. Navy Blue Angels Sloping edge

Center line

STEP 1 ■ With pattern facing down, fold the paper in half then unfold. ■ Fold the top corners inward to the center line.

STEP 2 ■ Fold the top corners to the bottom edge.

STEP 3 ■ Fold the triangle section along the red line upward.

STEP 4 ■ Bring the sloping edge to

the center line and crease only the upper part of the folding red line.

STEP 5 ■ While holding point 1 in place, sweep a finger under 2 and pull flap outward and flatten. ■ Repeat steps 4 and 5 on right side. Make sure both wings have the same sweep angle.

Center line

STEP 6 ■ Lift edges 3 and 4 from inside and bring out the triangle corners of the middle layer. These parts will become the canopy of the fighter jet.

STEP 7 ■ Take the triangle sections and line them up ■ Fold pieces to create canopy (see step 8 for final canopy)

STEP 8 ■ Fold the paper in half.

STEP 10 ■ Fold flaps 1 and 2 up leaving a slight angle like you see in front view below. Tape body areas in place to complete design.

STEP 9 ■ Cut along the dashed blue

line and separate frome body ■ Fold paper up along the

center line. ■ Fold down wings along red
