USA Cycling Permit 2017-267 Sunday April 2, 2017 Honolulu, Hawaii The Tantalus Time Trial is the oldest continuously running bicycle race in Hawaii. Racers will climb approximately 1,400 feet while ascending the curvy 4.5 mile course to the summit!

Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 (Race Day Check-in, Timing Chip pickup and Late Registration from 6:00 – 6:30 a.m.) Race begins at 7:00 a.m. with 30-second intervals. Starting times will be enforced!
Start/Course: The race starts on Makiki Heights Drive approximately 100 meters before the first hairpin at 7:00 a.m. on April 2nd, rain or shine! Racers will climb to Tantalus Drive, turn right and climb to the summit. Packet Pickup and Late Registration: Saturday, April 1st from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at The Bike Shop (Honolulu) located at 1149 South King Street Registration and Entry Fees: Available online at www.usacycling.com • $40.00 – Online by Midnight (HST) Thursday, March 30th, 2017 (U23 & Juniors $25.00) • $50.00 – Packet Pickup, Saturday, April 1st, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Parking in the rear. (U23 & Juniors $25.00) • $50.00 –Race Day, Sunday, April 2nd - MUST register by 6:30 a.m. (U23 & Juniors $25.00) T-Shirt: will be included for those who register by Friday March 24th, 2017. Please enter your t-shirt size when you complete the on-line registration. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for those who register after this date. Race Day: Late registration and one day licensing will begin at 6:00 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 2nd. • ALL riders are required to check in, show or receive their race number & pick up timing chip by 6:30am. If you do not collect your timing chip by 6:30am., you will be timed manually. • ALL riders must complete and sign a USA Cycling (USAC) Event Release form. • Unlicensed riders must complete a one-day USAC license application for $10.00. Categories2 and Awards: No cash awards. Gift certificates and/or prizes will be given to the TOP 5 MEN OVERALL and the TOP 3 WOMEN OVERALL and will be removed from their age group categories. Note that one person can only receive one award. The TOP 3 FINISHERS in each category below will be awarded gift certificates and/or prizes. • • • • • • •

This is a USA Cycling event (Permit 2017-267) and all USA Cycling road rules apply. All riders must wear a helmet. Promoter reserves the right to combine or separate categories. 3 Single speed bicycles must have a working front brake and fixed rear wheel OR a rear brake. USAC Rule Change: Sleeveless jerseys (Rule 1J5(a)) aero bars (Rule 1I1(d)) are allowed! 2
