Liquid Applied Sound Deadener (LASD) V-DAMP® 4300 is a high performance, viscoelastic, liquid applied sound deadener specially formulated for use in automotive paint shops. It is an acrylic based, 0 VOC, bakeable thick film coating that is designed as an interior sound pad replacement. It is highly effective in reducing vibration resonance conditions in structures such as automobiles, trucks, buses, and other vehicles. V-DAMP® 4300 can be applied using MSA or Molsa application equipment. After ® application, uncured V-DAMP 4300 cleans up with water. V-DAMP® 4300 is also specially formulated to withstand automotive paint bake oven temperatures up to 190°C for 60 minutes without blistering or cracking and can withstand subsequent baking cycles of 130°C for 25 minutes with no effect. V-DAMP® 4300 offers the automotive NVH engineer a cost effective, automated alternative to manually applied mastic sound pads. An overall weight savings over the mastic pads could also be expected. APPLICATION Surface must be clean and free of oil and foreign matter. Adhesion is very good on electro-coat primed steel, stainless steel, bonderized steel, primed steel, wash-primed galvanized sheet metal, and wash-primed aluminum. Multi-Stream Application (MSA), Molsa spray mastic type equipment or similar is recommended for automatic applications. Airless spray is typical for manual applications (contact Daubert for recommendations). Graco Molsa Tip – 0.035 4-inch applicator connected to a unidrum bulk unloader using a precision LT fluid metering system. Automated application using robotics is typical (Fanuc, ABB, or equal). Gun programming to minimize on/off cycling will maximize equipment life and improve application efficiency. DRYING – Typical Bake Cycles o
