Large Rear Garden - Laid to lawn with flower and shrub borders

Property A modern five bedroom detached family home in a superb seafront location with direct sea views of the channel. This home occupies a generous plot and has great potential for a buyer wishing to put their stamp on a property. The accommodation has been arranged to take maximum advantage of the sea views and balcony with the lounge and sun room on the first floor along with the kitchen, two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. The ground floor has three further bedrooms, a family bathroom and a utility room. Externally, there is a large rear garden laid to lawn with flower and shrub borders and to the front of the property there is a driveway leading to the garage and a covered veranda with patio area. Directly facing Victoria Parade with fabulous sea views of the harbour entrance and English Channel to France. It lies in the Conservation Area on the outskirts of Ramsgate with an eclectic mix of amenities including shops, banks, post office, chemist, doctor and dentist surgeries, restaurants, public houses, choice of excellent local schools and leisure facilities, a mainline railway station with HS1 fast trains to London St Pancras. The historic Cinque Port of Sandwich, with famous golf courses is about 7 miles and the Cathedral City of Canterbury is about 18 miles, with its cultural interests, excellent shopping centre and wide choice of schools, colleges and two universities. The Vendor’s View This property has been in the family since it was designed and built by my father in the mid 1970s. He inherited a bungalow from his parents, where we spent many happy ‘Swallows and Amazons’ type holidays playing in the large garden. We quickly outgrew the bungalow however, and so my father sold it in order to fund the building of the spacious house that is there today. It’s a unique location, and you really need to visit to appreciate it! The view without a doubt is everyone’s favourite thing about the property, and in fact my father designed the property with that in mind; the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the main living space is on the first floor to make the most of the stunning sea view. The sitting room has a panoramic 180° view of the channel, and we all often say that there is no need for television or artwork! It really is the room with the view, you really have to see it to appreciate it for yourself. We love the position of the house, out of the main town, and practically on a private road seeing how quiet it is here. King George VI Memorial Park is at the end of the road, where you can walk along through the greenery with the cliff edge on one side, all the way to Broadstairs. It’s a proper seaside home and the accessibility to the beach is fantastic, being right in front of us; it’s quiet and yet the town and harbour are just a 10 minute walk away. We love Ramsgate, having grown up visiting the town for holidays every year. We have used this house as a family holiday home since it was first built over 40 years ago. Anyone living here more permanently would probably want to update certain features and the potential is huge. It has been a truly loved family home, but we feel that now is the right time for us to say goodbye to the house and feel sure that the next owners will love it as much as we have.
