VIETNAMESE MOSSY FROG Scientific Name: Theloderma corticale Class: Amphibia Order: Amira Physical Adaptations: Mossy-colored shades of green, with black and purple spots Body covered with bumps, spines, and tubercles for camouflage; sticky discs at end of toes and a soft underbelly As with most tree frogs, the females will grow larger than the males and can reach a length of 3-4 inches

Behavioral Adaptations: Nocturnal; likes to hide; males have a big range of croaking calls When threatened, this frog will utilize deep water reservoirs to hide near the bottom among aquatic plants and rocks When frightened, the mossy frog will fold into a ball and play dead

Habitat/Biome: subtropical or tropical moist lowland regions, rocky cliff crevices, floating plants and water
