Camper groups & staff Campers are grouped by age and/or grade and are co-ed. Each group will be led by a Specialty Instructor, Head Counselor, and a Counselor In Training (C.I.T) Camp groups have an average of 15 -20 campers, depending on the week, and remain as one camp group with the same counselors throughout each week. All paid staff, both returning and new, are background checked every summer. We have completed a detailed hiring process to ensure your child is surrounded by the best instructors and counselors. Our most important concern is that your child is safe at all times, but after that we want to ensure your child has the best time possible learning new things and building friendships that can last a life-time. Lunch, Concessions & Drinks Students that participate in our full day camps will have hot lunch included in their day. We will offer daily hot lunch options provided by Flik Food Services. We will also open our concession stand during afternoon all camp period so students are able to purchase a variety of healthy snack choices if they would like. We want to ensure all students are drinking plenty of water throughout the day at camp. Although the majority of our activities will take place in-doors, we will spend time outside throughout the day. We encourage all students to bring their own personal water bottles with them to camp each day to keep with them. Please be sure to have your child’s name written clearly on their bottle. Attendance & Refund Policy We do not offer single drop-in days of camp. Campers must be registered in advance to ensure they have reserved a spot. The Village School will adhere to the following policy regarding cancellations and refunds. You will receive a full refund if you cancel for any reason prior to May 1, 2015. After this date, a refund will be given only if a class is cancelled, or a student is precluded from participating for the entire sessions for medical reasons provided a doctor’s note. There is no prorating for days missed.
