Pollack, from which this pure, natural pollack-liver oil is obtained, is a member of the cod family (Genus Gadus) and is renowned for the purity and nutrient quality of the oil it produces. It is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin A. The recommended daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 700 µg retinol equivalents for women and 900 µg retinol equivalents for men. Vitamin A supplementation can only be of assistance if the dietary intake of vitamin A is inadequate.
