VOLUNTEERING Are you energetic, enthusiastic and want to promote the values of Olympism through your active support of future Olympic Athletes? Volunteering for the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF) is a great way to get behind these young athletes. What roles are available? The Australian Olympic Committee is recruiting a team of volunteers to assist in all aspects of the AYOF’s operations, from set -up to Venue, Village, NOC Services, Sport Results and Transport services to pack-up. When and where? The bulk of roles available will be during the week of 15 -20 January 2013 within Sydney and its surrounds. Volunteer requirements include you being available for no less than 3 shifts on separate days during this time. Attending a selection interview and compulsory training prior to the event make up further application criteria. In return for your valuable time and energy you will be provided with a uniform, AYOF mementos, meals (if your shift covers a meal time) and snacks, an invitation to the Opening Ceremony, the chance to meet others with a keen interest in sports and don’t forget that warm fuzzy feeling inside as you contribute towards fostering our future Olympians. How do I apply? To apply for a role as an AYOF volunteer please complete an application form which is available from the volunteer section of our website corporate.olympics.com.au/footer/this -site/jobs OR please make a request by phone/email to be sent an application form.
