OPENING BELL Gettysburg makes its home debut tonight against sixth-ranked Messiah. ALL-TIME SERIES Messiah leads Gettysburg 22-14 in the alltime series. The Falcons have won the last nine meetings dating back to 2008-09. LAST MEETING Eighth-ranked Messiah won the first nine matches on the way to a 43-3 victory. The Falcons recorded three pins and three technical falls in the runaway victory. Paul Triandafilou ’19 put a stop to the shutout with a 4-3 overtime victory over Nick Havener in the heavyweight bout.
IN THE RANKINGS Juniors Colin Kowalski and Paul Triandafilou sit among the top 10 in their respective weight classes in the most recent D3wrestle.com national poll. Kowalski jumped to fifth at 165, while Triandafilou grabbed the No. 6 position at heavyweight. The Georgetown Prep products are a combined 29-4 this season. WINNING BY PINNING Senior Lenny Ogozalek racked up 10 pins among his first 11 victories this season. He needs one more pin this season to crack the program’s single-season top 10, while his 28 career falls ranks fifth in program history.
