VSA Academy Juggling Challenge Purpose: To encourage players to practice juggling on their own.
Rules: 1. Academy players will have four opportunities to be assessed during each the fall and spring seasons. These assessments will be scheduled times and communicated to the players and parents. 2. Players can start with the ball in their hands or with the ball at their feet. Once the player and coach are ready the coach will instructed the player to start. The player will juggle as many consecutive juggles as possible using surfaces allowed to a field player (i.e. feet, thigh, chest and head). 3. When the ball hits the ground that will end the attempt. 4. Each player will have two attempts per assessment. 5. Only a listed staff or team coach can count the players juggles. Coaches cannot count their own son/daughters juggles. 6. Once the players has completed both attempts the score will be communicated to the score keeper. If a player has reached a milestone on their juggling card that has not been punched previously then the score keeper will punch the milestone(s) reached. 7. At the end of the spring season the top player in each age group (U9 Boys, U9 Girls, U10 Boys and U10 Girls) will receive a prize for their accomplishment.
