WAGNER SOFTBALL HOSTS FALL FETE CELEBRATION On October 8th, after a doubleheader with the Post University Eagles, Wagner Softball hosted their first annual Fall Fete! Food and beverages were provided for both teams, friends, family, and fans. Though it wasn’t the best weather, both teams had a great time coming together to celebrate the fall seasons. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all of the parents that helped organize this great event for the Seahawks and Eagles! 1

SEAHAWKS WRAP UP 2016 FALL SEASON On Saturday, October 15th at Hofstra University, the Seahawks completed their 8-game fall season. The few weeks consisted of six different opponents and a 4-3-1 record. With games over, the team will transition into more individual skill work along with an intense strength and conditioning program to prepare for spring season. ALUMNI DAY CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN Wagner College hosted its annual Homecoming event on October 1st, but due to unexpected weather, Wagner Softball was forced to cancel their Alumni Day event. The plan was to host a Green and Whtie Scrimmage between current Seahawks and a 3-inning slow pitch game for alumni. T-shirts were donated by alumnae Jennifer Albrizio (Class of ’85, HOF ’11) who owns Shortstop Screen Printing, located on Staten Island.

TRADITION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE CONTINUES This October, Wagner Softball has been very active in the Staten Island community. On October 16th, the Seahawks volunteered at the Staten Island Zoo’s Spooktacular event for the third year in a row. The team manned carnival games and gave out prizes to children visiting the zoo. One week later, on October 23rd, the team was back at it to volunteer for Walk Now for Autism Speaks. The Seahawks worked the registration tables, collected donations, and directed participants to specific areas. This marks the second year in a row that the Seahawks have worked alongside Autism Speaks to better the lives of those impacted by autism.
